ABOUT THE CLUB

The GTO Association of Pennsylvania is a classic Pontiac car club comprised of members from the Lehigh

Valley in Eastern PA and Warren & Hunterdon counties in Western NJ.  Formed on June 30th 1989, our club is an affiliated chapter of the GTO Association of America.

Although many of our members own Pontiac GTO's, we welcome all those dedicated to restoring, preserving and enjoying any Pontiac model. If you are a Pontiac enthusiast, enjoy talking cars with others who share your passion, and want to participate in club sponsored events, feel free to contact us about joining the club. You do not have to own a Pontiac to be a member.

As an active member of the GTOPA, you are encouraged to participate in all club events.  In addition you will enjoy a 10% discount on all parts purchased at our club sponsor, STAR Buick GMC, in Easton, PA. You will receive an electronic copy of "Wide Tracking", our Golden Quill Award winning monthly newsletter. The newsletter helps to keep you up to date on club happenings and upcoming events. You can also advertise, for free, items you may have for sale and/or items you may need for your hobby car.

Also as a member you can participate in our annual car show at the Star Dealership. This is held on the 3rd Sunday of September.  In 2014 the show registered 137 cars and attracted a large number of spectators. Other club events include a Winter Dinner, a Summer picnic, and a December pizza party.  Members are encouraged to help one another with car projects.  If you need help pulling an engine, or rebuilding your brakes, club members are there to assist you.  One member even has an engine test stand, on which you can test run your engine before you install it in your car.  Giving and receiving hands-on help is a rewarding benefit of club

membership.  And we have a few members who can be found at drag strips on the weekend.

There is monthly business meeting (March through December) of club members held on the 2nd Thursday at 7:30 PM.The location is the Bethlehem Township Community Center, 2900 Farmersville Road, Bethlehem, PA 18020.  As an active member you can participate in planning and coordinating club activities. Some meetings even include technical seminars and guest speakers.
